Charlotte & Zac married on a cool April Saturday in the wonderful The Tythe Barn in Oxfordshire. The whole day was such a testament to them as a couple and how adored they are by their friends and family.
I arrived in the morning to The Tythe Barn with Sarah my second shooter. Charlotte and her bridal party were getting ready in a rustic building next to the main barn and so we quickly unpacked and started capturing the preparations. The bride tribe had gathered together different presents for Charlotte to open; each one representing something old, something new, something borrowed and something blue. Despite running ever so slightly behind time, the preparations were full of joy and laughter. Sarah and myself left the ladies getting ready to go and photograph the rest of the venue and when the boys arrived we were also able to quickly capture some fun ones of them. I feel like I could have asked this bunch to do anything and they would have been willing – they were so easy to photograph! Thank you! The ceremony itself soon started and what a beautiful one it was. There were big old barn doors at the front where Charlotte and Zac stood and draped on the barn doors were streams of fairy lights. It all looked so magical and that just summed up the rest of their day; magical.
Admittedly, the weather wasn’t great – it was pretty freezing and kept threatening to rain which meant that the guests weren’t able to make use of the beautiful courtyard too much but that didn’t matter much when the indoor space was so breath-taking and warm! Big props to Charlotte and Zac for letting me drag them outside for group photos and couples photos. They must have been frozen but you’d never know from the smiles on their faces.
It was a beautiful day from start to finish. Thank you for having me as your wedding photographer, Charlotte and Zac!
