Matt & Sarah

Well what can I say...Matt & Sarah are an absolute treat! This wonderful pair found me on google and I'm so glad they did because photographing their wedding was such an honour. They met at work and 4 years later, there I was capturing the best day of their lives. They are two of the loveliest people I have met and I'm so excited for what the future will hold for them.

I also had the ever-so talented Eliza Urzica with me as my second shooter and, together, we headed to Sarah's house first for a few shots of her and her family. Sarah had decided she didn't want any of the typical 'getting ready shots' and so when we got there she was already looking amazing with hair and make up done and just the dress to get on. (Side note - they have the cutest dog called Bailey!!) Sarah's flowers were made by her cousin who owns Ferry Lane Florist and the colour scheme she chose was completely enchanting.

It was then onto the church to take some photographs of Matt and his groomsmen before the guests started to arrive. The ceremony took place in a quaint little church in Henley with the surrounding grounds making for a gorgeous setting for the group photos. We had discussed either doing these at the reception or at the church and on the day we decided to stay at the church and do them before the guests headed off. I'm so glad we did because everything from the sunlight, to the trees, to the sun-scorched grass around them made the images perfect - it also meant that the guests had some welcome shade while they waited.

Their reception was then held at Shiplake Memorial Ha ll. I've been there a few times now and there is a really great field just opposite that we took full advantage of when photographing of the two of them. The celebrations here started with a beautiful afternoon tea and was followed by the speeches. We snuck off around 6pm for the couple's photos and it was a really special time, with the bride and groom practically beaming from ear to ear.

Everyone at this wedding was just lovely - their family and friends made the day so special. Thank you for having me Matt and Sarah!
